Barack Obama Raises 25 Million Posted: Wednesday, April 04, 2007 11 Hours 15 Minutes 16 Seconds Ante Meridian There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments Barack Obama seems to have raised almost as much has Hillary Clinton. What is interesting here is the fact that how much money a candidate has raised is now the benchmark for who the real front-runner is. Nobody has cast a single vote in any caucus anywhere, so really all of this is moot. Admittedly Obama is attracting attention and it shows. The enthusiasm he attracts is quite refreshing. Personally, I am cool with either Hillary or Obama. They will assure another Republican in office in 2008. There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments Nancy Pelosi got corrected by the Israeli government Tuesday when they issued a statement stating that they were only open to peace with Syria when they stopped sponsoring terrorism and not the supposed message she delivered to Syrian leader Bashar Assad. Now Nancy Pelosi is in Saudi Arabia doing something that she shouldn’t: Meddling in Saudi business. I read this morning that she is raising concerns about the lack of female politicians in the country. So what? The Saudi’s are an ally and trying to screw with a society that is older than ours is not a very smart idea. If they believe women have no place running the government then well, so be it. I wonder if there will be any corrections issued by the Saudi government after she leaves there? Nancy’s unilateral actions and her posing as a representative of U.S. foreign policy is becoming a nuisance. It is time to put a stop to it. There is one comment for this entry. Double Standard: Ever wonder why the Saudis do not have women in their government?...... Click this link to read and leave comments Don Imus Is Right! Posted: Monday, April 09, 2007 7 Hours 3 Minutes 31 Seconds Ante Meridian There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments Recently Don Imus of the now infamous “Imus In The Morning Show” on WFAN made some comments about the players on Rutgers University women’s basketball team aka The Scarlet Knights. Here are some highlights: Don Imus: "That's some rough girls from Rutgers," Wait a second. Have you seen some of those players? They’re right. They are rough looking women and frankly some of them don’t carry themselves like ladies at all. They are no-doubt proud of the fact that they are “hard core” using the excuse that acting or looking civilized is “acting white” or “selling out”. Now while their comments might be a little over the top Imus and Bernard have done nothing more than expose the facts. Why is it when black people present themselves as being uncouth nobody can comment on it? If these players presented themselves like lady athletes, and when they spoke, sounded like college students with a lexicon to match perhaps none of these comments would be said in the first place. This should be a wakeup call to all lady atheletes and a reminder that just because you came from the hood doesnt mean you have to bring it with you. Just because you are a lady athelete does not mean you have to stop being a lady. To paraphrase Ice Cube: “I tried to tell you a year ago, but Imus told me let a hoe be a hoe so…” There are no comments for this entry. The Attorney General has just announced that all remaining charges as a result of allegations made by Crystal Magnum against Dave Evans, Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann have been dropped. One less nappy headed hoe for Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to worry about. I knew from almost the start that these charges were false. The real tragedy is that when a sex worker really is raped, they may not immediately beleive her. I hope those three young men can now get on with their lives. There are 7 comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments This from MSNBC: "Effective immediately, MSNBC will no longer simulcast the "Imus in the Morning" radio program," read a statement from NBC News, which oversees the cable news network. "This decision comes as a result of an ongoing review process, which initially included the announcement of a suspension. It also takes into account many conversations with our own employees" I still stand by my previous remarks that if you carry yourself like a nappy headed hoe someone is going to point it out. However, finally, that benignly racist bigot is getting what he should have gotten a long time ago. Don Imus has a repuation for making racist remarks and not just in the context of humor either. Now, if someone would terminate the shows of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson on the same grounds, perhaps justice may get served all around. There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments Don Imus, of the Imus in the Morning Fame, got fired today. Well, it had to happen. To be honest with you, while I agree he should have gotten his (and not for this incident) I think we shouldn’t fear Don Imus. We should instead fear the censors who fired him. This success will embolden them and as a result, may train their sights on anyone who is not far enough to the left for them. There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments A massacre has occurred at Virginia Tech. Of course this has made world-wide news and rightfully so. Cho Seung Hui a Korean student who lived on campus went on a rampage yesterday killing 32 people. Now the above is pretty accurate as the facts go. Lets take another look. Charlton Heston former head of the NRA went on a rampage killing 32 people. Yeaaah that’s it. Typical of European elitism once again America is portrayed as a country full of gun-toting idiots who should embrace socialism and pacifism as a means of fixing all problems we as a nation face. I believe however, if all students were armed, none of this would have happened. Watch in amazement as over the next few days, socialists and pacifists in this country and all over the world will call for stricter gun control in the U.S. unless those guns are in the hands of socialists of course. The fact is, guns didn’t do this. Charlton Heston didn’t do this. Cho Seung Hui did it, before blowing his head off himself. There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments It’s happening already. Everyone is now blaming video games and movies for the Virginia Tech Massacre. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a billion times. This had nothing to do with it. Since I was a kid I watched Daffy Duck get shot in the face gangsta-style by Elmer Fudd. My mother and I used to play Quake. My father used to play Duke Nukem. My brother and I shot each other with rubber bands and other stuff we could get our hands on. Nowdays I am pushing 40 and I am sorry to report, I have not killed anyone yet. Oh and I am black too if that makes me more likely to go kill people. We may be witnessing the birth of the New McCarthyism. There are no comments for this entry.
