Scott Peterson Sentenced to Death - rushroom.com (What You Should Think)

Scott Peterson has been sentenced to death. Judge Alfred Delucchi had to decide if he wanted Scott Peterson to die or do a life sentence without parole for the deaths of Lacy Peterson and her unborn son.

The judge said: "The court is satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant, Scott Lee Peterson, is guilty of first-degree murder".

Mark Geragos said he would try to appeal stating some inconsistencies, evidence and prejudice by the media that tainted the trial. Personally I don't see it.

For today, Scott Peterson is a bigger star than Brian Nichols

I just read "A Deadly Game" by Catherine Crier. I wasn't totally convinced that he did it until I read this book. There is sooo much evidence told about that was not mentioned in the trial. I'm not ususally a fan of the death penalty, but in this case I believe the punishment fit the crime.

scott is soooooooo guilty, unlike alot of people, I read the book that Laci's mom wrote and she gave great detail about how scott wouldn't look them in the eyes and completely avoided talking to them or anyone else, he wouldn't hug or show any emotion, he would sit around and make jokes at the dinner table, only a day after his wife and unborn child is missing?! WHO THE HELL DOES THAT KIND OF THING?! ONLY A MURDERER, who has no remorse and no heart. Scott never wanted to have kids either, so its not a shock that he killed his unborn son, he is an animal, pure evil person. anyone who thinks this man is innocent, needs to read the book and get the real story about him, instead of listening to the media and only hearing certain things in the trial.... I watched all of the news and news shows on this case from the very beginning and the during the trail. There might have been a couple of things along the way that might have made you question his guilt, however, there were more facts that proved that he wasn't. This was a horrible, calus, and hateful thing to do. He suffocated his wife and his son and not just that if that weren't bad enough then he dumps her body in the bay. I can image that as he pushed her over he probably thought they will never find you and I can go on being my selfish self. Well justice and God prevailed when their bodies washed ashore, I guess he didnt figure it out well enough. As far as many of the comments that he showed no emotion, remember what he did, he has no emotion. Now he sits in a cell on death row in the worst prison in the country, that's justice.

Amber, I am reading the book Sharon Rocha wrote called "For Laci" you should read it if you haven't cause if you had you would change your opinion. It is a book I can't put down. The Rocha family gave him a chance and believed he was innocent until all the evidence came out and then they finally saw through all his lies and hate. He is the devil himself and I hope he burn's in hell for what he did to Laci and Conner. For those who believe he is innocent. Ask yourself this, what kind of man cheats on his wife numerous times? What kind of man has a missing wife and should be out searching for her, but instead is calling his mistress? What kind of man sells his missing wife's car? I am pretty torn. I believe he does deserve to die, but at the same time I feel that is too easy for him. After everything he put everyone around him through, I think he deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison, hopefully suffering. I followed bits and pieces of the case on Court TV and was convinced he did it from the start, but after reading A Deadly Game, I have absolutley no doubt in my mind that he is a cold blooded killer, who claimed tolove this woman, and claimed to be happy about fatherhood, and had no problem killing them. What kind of person is capable of that?!?!?! And to pretend to be so involved in the "hunt for Laci"? He needs to pay for what he has done!!!

I firmly believe that this trial was tainted from the beginning. I think that there are several reasons to appeal this case, but I do not feel that Scott could get a fair and impartial jury. Everyone's heard some version of this tragedy. And I say tragedy because 3 lives are gone. Scott is guilty of adultery, but not slaughtering his wife. What about the other women that were missing around this time frame? What about the other pregnant woman that was found in the same bay in January? It is his right to have a fair trial...he didn't get that. Scott and his family have gone through hell and if &; when he gets his appeal, I pray that they may find closure. The Rocha family has plenty of support and gave Scott their support before the Modesto Police convinced them that he was the one that killed his wife &; son. The Peterson's need support now and I intend to continue supporting the defense until I am convinced that he is guilty.
