The Democrats are back and already the populist rhetoric is already beginning to bloom. The latest to get my attention is the difference between the haves and the have-nots especially as it pertains to minorities.

The stats are correct. There is a difference between the haves and the have-nots. The difference is not economic. It is an education gap, and its not affecting just minorities.

In the 1950’s you could feed a family of four with an eighth grade education or really, not even that much. The economy in the United States was fueled by manufacturing and that did not require much education. All you had to do is learn a trade of some sort and you were on your way.

The economy is different now. We live in the information age and in order to get an ‘average job’ now requires at least a high-school diploma. Many more jobs require some kind of degree. Consider the following ‘facts’.. (these are not really facts but just follow along anyway)

1. The only people who care about children are Democrats.
2. The only people who educate people are Democrat members of the N.E.A.
3. Democrats alone make opportunities for minorities in education.
4. They will wipe every tear, and make every burden light. Ok, thats going overboard with the sarcasm.

The point here is that the Democrats have already fixed the education gap. So, why is there still one? The answers are many.

One, for a lot of minorities is one of culture. Back when blacks were persecuted, if a black person got a degree he was lauded and branded a hero. Nowdays, an academic achievement is now associated with ‘acting white’ and a quick way to getting your ass beat.

The second lies in the fact that the Democrats who run the schools, really haven’t solved anything in the first place which is why I sarcastically put those four points up in the first place. The slightest solution if it came from anyone other than a socialist or social engineer (Democrat) is of course dismissed without further study. School vouchers are a good example of this.

While I am aware of some rays of hope out there, some of which I personally have lit in the form of my interns and others who have worked for me in the past, the majority of black culture has a disdain for education and achievement unless it is obtained illicitly or illegally. This attitude is spreading like a cancer, carried by hip-hop music and culture to all races, not just blacks.

Until the disdain for achievement is eradicated the difference between the haves and the have-nots will continue to widen not only for the black community but for the nation as a whole.

Mike Nifong has dropped the rape charges against Dave Evans, Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann. Unfortunately he has not dropped the sexual misconduct and kidnapping charges.

Its time for this thing, in its entirety to go away.

The lives of these three young men are destroyed for some time to come. I’ve read elsewhere how other lacrosse players who graduated, have been denied jobs, simply because they were on the team.

Do you want to see real justice? Someone should force Crystal Magnum to hold a news conference and withdraw her story and let these innocent men live in peace.
