Last week, with the help of John Wiley Price and subsequently the Black Community in Dallas, the Strong Mayor proposal was defeated by a landslide.

What is interesting here is that Laura Miller is a democrat. With that in mind, you would think that blacks would vote en-mass for anything that gives white democrats more power, which this measure certainly would have. This time however they did not. Laura is paying the price for calling Terrell Bolton an idiot. While this may be true, she angered the Civil Rights Industry in Dallas (mainly because it was hyped) by saying so.

Instead of saying "Terrell Bolton is an idiot" she should have used The N-Word on TV like Senator Robert Byrd did. Even though he used to be in the Klan, blacks will still vote for him anyway, just because he is a democrat.

For the black community in Dallas in general and John Wiley Price in particular, there may be hope after all. Gone are the constant protests during the 80's to the mid 90's (over what I have no idea). Lately he has said things that not only seem to be in the best interests of his constituents but for the city of Dallas in general.

Interesting indeed.
