I have been looking at New Orleans, the devastation, the despair and a few rays of hope that are beginning to appear as a result of the daunting task of
getting these people out of there and, on to new jobs and lives.
It has barely been a week and already the Civil Rights Industry is on the scene, making false accusations and, securing their jobs as "Black Leaders" for
another year or so.
I am looking at CNN over the weekend and see who else, but Jesse Jackson. He alleges that racism played a part in some of the delays, perceived or otherwise
in getting people out. Others are saying that the government should have helped people leave. I can see this great government conspiracy cant you?
There is a problem with this theory though.
There is a nuisance lurking in the depths of the streets of New Orleans. A threat that destroys most of the boats that come against it. This threat is even
in the poorest of neighborhoods.
They are of course, Cars.
One thing I see every time I look at flooded homes are cars in the water. How can this be? I thought these people couldn't get themselves out?? Who owns
these cars in the water and subsequently the 20 inch rims on them? I'll tell you who, the citizens of New Orleans own them. I am going to go out on a limb here
and say that a majority of those cars ran fine the day of the storm.
Could it possibly be that people of a certain race chose not to leave New Orleans and got caught with their pants down and not racism?
Something to think about.
