Dwight Eisenhower prior to D-Day, called together the war correspondents in England and said, "Fellas, just thought you ought to know, we're going to go in early June." The war correspondents paused, and one of the reporters asked Eisenhower, "General, why did you tell us?" And Ike responded, "Because you're good Americans and I know you will not jeopardize the lives of fellow Americans."

So where was this patriotism when The New York Times and the rest of the mainstream press reports on the programs and methods we use to monitor and defeat terrorists? Is trying to do in George W. Bush so important that nothing else matters? Thirdly since when are the editors of the New York Times the arbiters of such matters?

I hate to say it but there the calls to have an office of censorship may well be justified. It would be one thing if ordinary Americans are being abused here. This is simply not the case, unless you are sending a million dollars to a know islamo-facist or organization that harbors them.

It’s almost like they want the other side to win, just so the war on terror screws up and have more terror attacks here in the United Satiates.

Just so the Democrats can say Bush is wrong. Is it really worth it?
