Lately there has been some concern about DP World ( Dubai Ports World ) taking over six ports in the US. The concern in this case is the fact that DP World is an Arab company based in Dubai and partly owned by the government.

On the one hand, letting a company where one of the 911 Hijackers came from control six strategic economic interests in this country on the surface sounds stupid.

There is however another side to this. From a diplomatic standpoint however, we don’t have to, but should thank Dubai for all the intelligence they give us. Throwing them this bone would certainly help relations.

The British also approved this deal and I don’t see Tony Blair letting the deal go through without weighing this out.

Some other points:

1. The ports are already leased (not owned) by a British company

2. This is a financial transaction. DP World is buying the British
company.

3. Dubai is an ally of the US. Yes, terrorists came from there, Tim McVeigh was born here. Right?

4. Port security is not in the hands of the British. Nor will it be in
the hands of the Dubai Government or even DP World. It is however in the
hands of the US Coast Guard by law. That doesn't change.

5. Custody of the containers is managed by the U.S. Customs Service by
law. That doesn't change either.

6. Diplomatically Dubai is an ally and has provided us with a lot of
terror info. This is a little payback.

7. For all you leftists out there, the same unions and their outrageous
pay for little human thought will still be around. Nothing changes there
either.

My opinion is that I would not have let it go through at all however, the intelligence and keeping our ally happy is something to consider.

From a public relations standpoint, George W. Bush is blowing it. The rationale for this deal should be explained a little better. To paraphrase J.C. Watts on CNN the other day: [If they don't explain themselves pundits like us will imagine why]

It’s true. Like a lot of issues if the administration does not explain their actions the left will simply dream it up.

Bryant Gumbel shot his mouth off, bringing race and politics and ruined what would otherwise be a valid point.

Here come the bullets:

• Why didn’t they do what they did to Rush Limbaugh after stating that the press wanted Donovan McNabb to be successful because he is black? Even though Rush did not say anything racist, because he is right of center it was going to be racist anyway in the eyes of black people.
• Bryant Gumbel is doing the same shit they did at Coretta Scott King’s funeral. Bringing up politics where it does not belong. It took Bill Clinton of all people to remind the blacks at the church that there was a dead woman there.
• Besides football what winter sports do blacks play or do in great numbers? There aren’t any.
• The fact of the matter is, the winter games are booooring. Nobody there has personality. Nobody cares. It’s irrelevant. However, besides football blacks don’t play any other sport during the winter, let alone get to the Olympics.
• If there was a black athlete that couldn’t get in, the anvil of the NAACP, SCLC and Al Sharpton would rain down on anyone who would dare oppose their entry.

Bryant Gumbel loses yet another respect-point for being an ignorant black man . Hey Bryant, is Julian Bond’s number in your cell phone?

It was inevitable.

Stephen Barbee was sentenced to death for killing Lisa Underwood, her son Jayden Underwood and her unborn child a year ago.

The jury had to find him a threat to society and I suppose that’s exactly what happened.

Now, Stephen Barbee’s family blamed the outcome on the media coverage of the trial. I would suggest that they (members of Stephen’s family) practice a little compartmentalized thinking here.

To those who were sad and upset at the verdict, I would say, go ahead and love Stephen Barbee if you do but, also accept the fact that he is a murderer and that one way or the other, he is going to eventually die for this.
"

He confessed to what he did. I am not sure about exactly how you can swerve out of the way of a death sentence after you admit to killing a pregnant woman and a seven year old but that’s what usually happens when you do.

Regardless of the reason, (Stephen Barbee says that Lisa was going to blackmale him among other things but that’s heresy) there is no justification for it that is going to satisfy any jury.

The cool part is, if he got life on appeal (you get an automatic appeal if you get sentenced to death) the general population may very well kill him anyway. Even prisoners have standards. At least this way, he would get the violent death he deserves.

A year ago when this happened I wrote an article, stating that there are consequences to certain actions. If Lisa Underwood, me or anyone else messes with the wrong person, something bad may happen. A lot of people wrote in and commented. Well a lot has changed and what I wrote was based on what I knew at the time. Some of it may very well be incorrect. There are however a few facts that remain.

• Nobody will ever know what really happened that day. I would say that if I am going to admit to committing capital murder that I have nothing to gain by lying about anything else or why I did it. That’s me though.
• At one time, Lisa Underwood thought that Steven Barbee was a great guy. It’s a moderately safe assumption that she wouldn’t have dated him otherwise. Calling him all kinds of names, “The Devil”, or whatever runs contrary to what Lisa thought of him at one time.
• Lisa Underwood went whatever length of time she dated Stephen Barbee, a second length of time after they stopped seeing each other and six months being pregnant all without being killed by Stephen Barbee. Sorry folks that’s a fact. Something happened and that is undeniable. Keep reading the next point below.
• Something had to happen to set him off. The only explanation so far, is what Steven Barbee said happened. Short of a lie detector session we’ll never know.

I personally have no bias here. Just telling it the way I see it.

Kevin Rousseau, prosecutor said: “He got what he deserved.”

Amen to that.

Its going to take a while but one way or the other Steven Barbee will get his.

Democrats are wagging their fingers at the President regariding the DP World (Dubai Ports World) deal to conduct operations at six ports.

Here are some new bullets:

• Hillary and other Democrats are forgetting about the fact that the Chinese run the Panama Canal. Now while this sounds like it is not a big deal, it is. Look below.
• In 1999, the Chinese took over running the canal and as a result they control shipping between the east and western hemisphere. Bill Clinton blessed it.
• Its no secret that we will defiend Taiwan should the Chinese try to unite the country by force. If that happens there will be hell to pay.
• Ummmm How do you think we are going to get supplies and warships over there? The Panama Canal of course. The Chinese can screw with our shipping and trade as well as hinder our ability to arm and/or supply any Pacific fleet defending Taiwan.
• No Democrat that I am aware of even blinked at this possibility.

The Chinese are many things. Stupid is not one of them. We have enough warships, planes and weapons in Dubai to destroy the place if they double-cross us. This deal should go through. As long as they play by the rules, it will be ok.
